what is our history?

This church is one of many belonging to the Apostolic Church of the Czech Republic, which has been part of our country's history for more than a hundred years. The Apostolic Church has been officially recognized as a church since 1989, and it is part of the Pentecostal movement.

We do not consider ourselves to be the only "right" church, but one of many churches that God can use for the salvation of people. We try to maintain friendly relations with other churches in our region. We consider the Holy Scripture, the Bible, to be a God-inspired word revealed to people and the norm according to which we want to live and build our church.

This church was established in 2004 by a small group of Christians, who have been meeting here since 1985.

  • We do not tolerate evil among us.
  • We want to perceive the missionary needs of our city, surrounding region and other countries and respond to them.

beliefs of the apostolic church

we believe,

  • that Bible - the Holy word - is the only infallible, authoritative word of God
  • that there is only one eternal existing trinitarian God: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
  • that God is eternal, almighty Creator of heaven and earth, the whole universe and of all life.
  • in the divinity of Jesus Christ, his conception from the Holy Spirit, his birth from virgin Mary, his sinless and perfect life, in the eternal sufficiency of his atoning and vicarious death on the cross, in his resurrection in the flesh, in his ascension to the right hand of the Father and in his second coming to earth in power and glory,
  • in the Holy Spirit as a person of God who was sent to believers on the day of Pentecost, which was the beginning of Christ's living church on earth, and that the Holy Spirit still works in the same power today.

God's plan with mankind

  1. Man was created in the image of God. Seduced by Satan's lie, he sinned by disobedience and lost fellowship with God, thereby bringing spiritual and physical death upon all mankind.
  2. Jesus Christ reconciled humanity with God through his sacrifice, thus enabling man to return to his original state and to eternal life.
  3. Through personal faith in Jesus Christ, every person has the opportunity to become God's child again by God's grace and achieve eternal life.
  4. Even today, the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, reveals the mystery of the Gospel and empowers the Church of Christ to fulfill its mission on earth.
  5. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ unites believers into one family of God, the Church of Christ on earth.
  6. The Church of Christ will be transferred to the glory of God.
  7. The establishment of the millennial kingdom on earth.
  8. The Last Judgement.
  9. The salvation of all who have accepted the work of salvation in Christ and persevere faithfully to the end. Such will live forever in heavenly glory.
  10. There is eternal destruction - the lake of fire - for those who have rejected Christ as Savior.
